I also think ...I think you made a good assessment. I also think this is one of the stronger years for the SEC, and key injuries have made a significant impact in the Gator losses. I am concerned about Meyer's commitment/reliance on man-coverage. We better get some really good corners recruited, although Atkins and Dee Webb should be decent next year. Punt return stats just seem wrong as well, but maybe the emphasis is on holding the football, which the Urban Gators have done well. Also, 4 of the 5 starting OL are seniors, which curbs my enthusiam for next year a bit. It's a very different Gator team, but with more wins, different will be seen as good.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14955809.post-1133186444545018412005-11-28T06:00:00.000-08:002005-11-28T06:00:00.000-08:00I see Urban Meyer having success at Florida, but I...I see Urban Meyer having success at Florida, but I do not ever see him winning more than 9 games. And to Florida fans, if thats the case, that is unacceptable. I just cannot picture his offense truly working at Florida like it did at Utah.____________https://www.blogger.com/profile/06429826209137093944noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14955809.post-1133148083814279752005-11-27T19:21:00.000-08:002005-11-27T19:21:00.000-08:00I think Leak is a wonderful quarterback, and with ...I think Leak is a wonderful quarterback, and with another year learning Meyer's system he will be even more efficient and the offense will be thusly be even more proficient. I don't know the Gators entire schedule offhand, but I do know they must go to Knoxville, Nashville, and Tallahassee, host SC and Kentucky, and play Georgia in the Cocktail Party. While winning all of those games will be difficult, I see no reason why they will not at least be favored in the majority of those games and be small underdogs in a few (FSU, GA, and perhaps Tenn). So maybe 9-2 or 10-1?matthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07863019168368782406noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14955809.post-1133138904307364702005-11-27T16:48:00.000-08:002005-11-27T16:48:00.000-08:00I think that meyer is going to be better and he ha...I think that meyer is going to be better and he has a better defense and defensive talent. I wonder what you think about Chris Leak. What would you predict next season's record?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14955809.post-1133121008682842822005-11-27T11:50:00.000-08:002005-11-27T11:50:00.000-08:00Remember in 96, UF loss to FSU in the regular seas...Remember in 96, UF loss to FSU in the regular season 24-21 in Tallahassee. They went on to beat FSU in the Sugar Bowl, but that fact makes what Urban Meyer's done in his first year that much more special.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
